Are your products 100% handmade?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Yes, every single stitch was crocheted by myself, every thread was sewn by hand (or by my sewing machine\u2014you always need little helpers), every label was stamped by hand\u2014everything is 100% handmade.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Where do you get your materials from?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I source the wool, as well as the hardware and all the accessories, from local craft stores (support your locals). The fabrics are also purchased locally or at larger fabric markets. Only the paper yarn is ordered from a wholesaler, as unfortunately, there are no stores in the area that sell this kind of yarn.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Are the fabrics used Oeko-Tex certified?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Yes, all the fabrics I use are Oeko-Tex certified.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

How long does it take you on average to make a bag?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

It all depends on the size and the model\/pattern. The fanny packs take about a complete \"normal\" workday. For larger sized shopper, I often need up to 40 hours, since the paper yarn isn't as easy to work with as wool.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Why are your products so expensive?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Price perception is relative \u2013 for some, it's too expensive, for others, not expensive enough. Handmade items have their price. Crocheted items, in particular, differ from knitted items in that crocheted items are 100% handmade. Even today, no machine can process this type of wool or yarn, which can be the case with knitted items. Not to mention the time that goes into a project. Furthermore, the materials used are high-quality and fairly traded, so the purchase value is also higher.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

What inspires you for the different bags (shape, color)?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

For colors and shapes, it's actually and mostly mother nature. When I go for a run past a colorful meadow of flowers, the ideas just popping up! When it comes to sizes, I primarily base my choice on what I would like and need myself. The right size and bag for different situations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

What was the background to your start with paper yarn?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Wool is beautiful, wool has its advantages, but paper yarn gives that certain something (the pain is worth it).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

How did you come up with the idea of making these products yourself?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

When you're strolling around town looking for something specific, you probably never find it. So why not make it yourself?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
